You can enjoy a relaxing theater day with the whole family on Saturday, July 11, at Kraffer Garden, where a variety of theater
performances will be ready for you.
Starting at 10:00 AM, the little ones can look forward to the fairy tale “Hello, Jácíček”, a story about a great friendship between two little friends, a bunny and a squirrel. Thanks to the performance by the Prague PUK Theater, based on the book by Daisy Mrázková, you’ll get to know their shared adventures, which are full of tenderness and love.
In the afternoon from 2:00 PM, as part of the “Tower of Miniatures” performance, young and old viewers alike can look forward to three short
stories brought to you by the Musaši Entertainment Company. The non-verbal puppet production “The Racer in a Fur Coat” is about trickery and victory, taking you to the track of the Jizerská 50 race. “Funus” is about how a funeral shouldn’t be underestimated, and in the story “In the Garden Bed,” Mr.
Karel will let you peek under the hoe of his gardening habits.
From 3:00 PM, there is a storytelling workshop “Tales and Play-stories (from the Garden)” by the Verbarium association, where you’ll learn how to tell stories to children so they listen, and how to choose the right stories.
From 6:00 PM, adult viewers can look forward to Filip Teller and his musical stand-up comedy show about everyday matters… “Maybe You Know the Feeling.” Each of us sometimes blames ourselves for eating a whole bar of chocolate in one sitting, not going to work out… Some of us struggle with self-esteem, strange neighbors, etc. We all deal with the same things, and in the end, we are shaped and changed most by love and death. We offer childcare for parents during this performance through a sensory play session.
Of course, there’s a supporting program throughout the day, including refreshments at the Kraffer Café. Especially the small, but also the older visitors to the garden will have the chance to try out a range of sensorimotor toys as part of “Playing with All Senses with HračkyToč” or visit the pottery workshop to paint their own mug or enjoy the children’s workshops. For those interested in arranging bouquets from meadow flowers, a workshop is prepared starting at 2:00 PM.
