We are really looking forward to celebrating this pan-European festival of opening gardens with you! We have prepared a rich program for all ages, featuring guided tours, concerts, theater, workshops, children’s activities, stalls, a scavenger hunt with garden gnomes, and much more.

Guided Tours
BOTH DAYS – 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM
Learn fascinating details about the garden’s history as well as current plans and challenges directly from a member of the Kraffer’s Garden association. The tour will take you through the entire garden. You’ll find out when and for whom the garden was originally created, which famous Czech composer likely hoed the flowerbeds here, and what changes the entire site underwent in response to the events of the 20th century.
Jazz Petit Q
SATURDAY – all day
A group of amateur and professional musicians who pick jazz standards, rock, and pop songs that speak to them and try to arrange them in their own distinctive style. The band is characterized by an unconventional instrumental lineup and a colorful repertoire featuring interesting duets.
Chůdadlo
SUNDAY – 10:30 AM Juggling and acrobatic performance, 11:00 AM & 2:30 PM circus workshop
A professional ensemble dedicated to contemporary circus and everything that goes with it. They say they love it when they can inspire, surprise, and make people laugh. They create extraordinary moments, and their performance in Kraffer’s Garden will surely be one of them. What’s more, anyone who wants to can try out some of their tricks during the follow-up workshop.

He says that after turning forty, it was time to launch a parallel career in a new field. Becoming a DJ turned out to be an achievable goal. An obsession for new music, steady rhythms, and strong vocal and rap lines fully developed. And here it is: songs you mostly don’t know, but should like.

Ceramic workshop - mug painting

Create your own mug in the magical Kraffer’s Garden! A unique open-air ceramic mug painting course – in a romantic setting where the scent of flowers meets the scent of creativity. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you’ll decorate a mug in your own style – whether with delicate flowers, cheerful motifs, or a minimalist design. All tools and materials are included in the price. At the end, you’ll take home not only a hand-painted mug but also a pleasant experience. Advance registration is not required.
Municipal Library in the Open Air

The Jindřichův Hradec Municipal Library is heading out into the greenery. As part of the connection between Open Garden Weekend and Jindřichův Hradec City Days, you can find it on 7. and June 8 in Kraffer’s Garden. The mobile library in the heart of the blooming garden will offer new releases from the world of adult fiction and children’s literature. In addition to existing library users, fans of quality literature who aren’t yet registered can also take a book from Kraffer’s Garden – the library is offering free annual registration for readers young and old all weekend long.
Scavenger hunt with garden gnomes
BOTH DAYS 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and also all summer long
Garden gnomes Hlíz and Chocholík are heading out to explore Kraffer’s Garden – this year, a whole range of new tasks awaits them. The scavenger hunt, which includes tasks for children of all ages, isn’t timed, and you can come play it in the garden anytime. You might even learn something new. The illustrations for the hunt were created by Linda Marková (author of the book “About the Garden Gnome”). The books you’ll encounter while playing were donated to the garden by the Kanzelsberger bookstore.
