Come join us 10. on June 11 to celebrate Open Garden Weekend—a pan-European festival celebrating the opening of extraordinary gardens—and become a cultural tourist in your own city.
This year’s Open Garden Weekend is all about culture. Our partner is České Budějovice – candidate for European Capital of Culture, and we in the regions will be part of it too. You can look forward to an engaging cultural and gardening program.
Our guests will include stars of slam poetry, the FysioART ensemble will bring their children’s performance “Insect Hotel,” and you can learn juggling skills at the Juggling School with Chůdadlo. Saturday evening will belong to the Jindřichův Hradec jazz quartet Jez Jazz.
During guided tours, you’ll find out what’s new in Kraffer’s Garden. You can enjoy a flood of both cut and potted flowers. There will also be the popular floral and watercolor workshops, which traditionally require advance registration.
To make sure everyone stays perfectly comfortable, refreshments will be provided by Kafe Okolo. Saturday’s creative workshop for children will be run by the forest nursery Živě v trávě. With Dotek bylinek, you can make your own small herbal elixir, and Stellion brooches will be ready for those who love to dress up.
For everyone who loves Kraffer’s Garden and would appreciate a more vibrant public space elsewhere in Jindřichův Hradec, there is a socio-urbanist workshop by Socionaut. Come tell us how you see it!
