Preparations for Open Garden Weekend at Kraffer Garden are in full swing. What can you look forward to during the action-packed weekend of June 7–8? Of course, there will be guided tours that will introduce you to the garden’s fascinating history as well as current events and future plans. Visitors can also enjoy jazz concerts (on Saturday Jazz Petit Q, on Sunday Jez Jazz), DJ Cube positive, and the Chůdadlo troupe with their juggling and acrobatic performance.
A variety of hands-on activities will also be ready for visitors: a natural cosmetics workshop – register HERE (Saturday), a circus workshop (Sunday), a ceramic workshop with mug painting, and children’s workshops (both days).
The popular children’s activity Garden Gnome Scavenger Hunt features new tasks for this year. Just like last year, it isn’t limited by time, and you can come to the garden to play it whenever you like.
During the weekend, visitors will also be able to vote for the winner of the children’s art competition. This year’s theme is The Garden Beneath the Surface. The winners will receive book vouchers for the Kanzelsberger bookstore.
The iconic white greenhouse of Kraffer Garden will transform into a library for the weekend. The Jindřichův Hradec Municipal Library is heading out into the greenery to offer the latest fiction for adults and children’s literature in the heart of the blooming garden. In addition to existing library members, fans of quality literature who aren’t yet registered can also take a book home from Kraffer Garden—the library is offering free annual registration for readers of all ages all weekend long.
We are also looking forward to Dotek bylinek, Bylinky od světa, Mýdlárna Na samotě u lesa, decorations by Oat.milk.klara, graphics by Stellion and Opak.animation.architecture, and, of course, coffee and treats from the Kraffer Café. And if this June weekend brings summer temperatures, Agrola ice cream will be there too.
