Since its founding in the 18th century, the Kraffer Garden has witnessed several major historical events that significantly impacted its own fate. We are constantly fascinated by this destiny and would love to share its details with others.
During the summer holidays, you’ll be able to visit two exhibitions about the garden’s history. In the courtyard of the Jindřichův Hradec State Castle and Chateau, you’ll find a summary of the Kraffer Garden’s history as part of the Story of an Exceptional Garden exhibition.
At the same time, we naturally invite everyone directly to the Kraffer Garden, where more information and snippets of history will be available through the Walk Through History.
But we don’t want to be the only ones telling the story of this place. We want to know your memories and your experiences connected with the Kraffer Garden. We’d be delighted if you could help us add another piece to the puzzle of what the Kraffer Garden has been throughout its history.
Our goal is to record these memories and respond to them. During the year, we plan to form a team of children and students who will process selected memories into a short animated work. We’re really looking forward to seeing what this intergenerational collaboration brings.
