Advent in the Garden

Come and get into the Christmas spirit at Kraffer’s Garden. During the first Advent weekend, you can look forward to a Christmas market full of carefully selected products, theatrical and musical performances, advent wreath workshops, children’s activities, and a historical carousel on Sunday. There will be coffee, mulled wine, sweet and savory snacks, and above all, a garden full of lights and a relaxing atmosphere.

What happens on a Christmas tree before the lights go on and when no one is looking? For example, Karel, a blown-glass snowman ornament, wants to get married and he’s in quite a hurry, but his bride Evička is hanging on the other side of the tree. What now? Will they make it? An adventurous puppet fairy tale with a Christmas ending.

Treat yourself to a hand-decorated Advent wreath! Enjoy a moment of joy and peace through manual work in the inspiring environment of the Christmas-lit Kraffer’s Garden.
In our fully equipped Christmas workshop, an instructor and all necessary materials will be available to you. We will create the Advent wreath on a green coniferous base. We will focus on decorating it with candles, evergreen and dried natural materials, eucalyptus, and their combinations.

You might have already encountered the V papíru brand here during the Open Gardens Weekend. Since their products and creative kits for children were a great success, we are very happy to meet again during Advent in the Garden.
Another children’s workshop will be brought to the garden by Krása domova along with their knitted and crocheted products.

A performance by the Zanoty choir from the Vítězslav Novák Gymnasium has become a traditional part of Advent in the Garden. We are very happy about this because we know they can create an amazing atmosphere that we always look forward to.

We’ve wanted this for a long time and we’ve finally found a carousel that we like, and we hope you will too. Come and give your children a ride on the hand-powered carousel (and don’t worry, there will be an operator at the carousel).
