Puppets Without Borders: The Half-Baked Cookie
12.7. 10:00 AM, 10:45 AM follow-up workshop
Once upon a time, there was an oven and a pastry chef. The pastry chef baked vanilla cookies in the oven. But one cookie was impatient and ran away into the world sooner than he should have. Where did he roll? Who did he meet? What happened to him in the world that made him cry all alone at the end of the world? And how did it all turn out for him? You will find out in this puppet “fully-baked” vanilla fairy tale based on the book of the same name by Dora Bouzková with illustrations by Anička Duchaňová (published in 2013 by Letadýlko, Prague).
A sweet treat pastry workshop will take place after the performance (approx. 45–60 minutes).
Awards:
Dora Bouzková was nominated for her performance in the show for the 2020 THÁLIE AWARD in the PUPPET THEATRE category.
The performance won the second year of the international puppet theatre festival AMPLION 2021.

DIP Theatre: Tree-motions
12.7. 14:00
Trees hear, trees see, trees want to tell stories. And we can teach you how to listen to them.
An interactive storytelling performance consisting of four short stories.
- About a willow that kept nothing to itself.
- About an oak love that defeated death.
- About a tall poplar that saw the furthest of all.
- And the last story, which the audience will “hear” and invent themselves.
A performance inspired by the philosophy of Peter Wohlleben. His facts about nature and trees create a comprehensive structure for understanding the world around us. And that is something DIP Theatre wants to pass on to the youngest generation. The interconnectedness of trees, their structure, and their ability to cooperate sparked the desire to create stories that metaphorically describe and further develop these principles.

Buřt Theatre: About the Fisherman and His Wife
12.7. 16:00
“Fishy, fishy in the sea! Grant this one wish to me! My wife is scolding, she won’t let me through the door! Fishy!”
A fisherman and his wife live in a tattered shack. One day, the fisherman catches a goldfish at the edge of the sea and that’s when things really start to happen! A fairy tale based on the famous story, which shows that those who want more end up with nothing.
The fairy tale is a one-man show and was created gradually based on improvisation with the audience and their reactions. The performance is based on communication with the viewer and is rooted in puppet theatre.
